About

Company History

Founded in 1998, Professional Data Services has been working with federal political entities for over a decade. We began by serving our home state of Georgia but quickly grew nationally. As the political world became more comfortable with off- site data storage and remote access, we were able to perform the same functions for clients across the country. Over the next several election cycles more and more organizations came to trust us to accurately and professionally handle their compliance. In this last election cycle, we served clients from Georgia to Nevada to New Jersey to Washington State at both the House and Senate levels. We have also followed with the surge in use of joint fundraising committees and have been involved on all levels of these JFCs, working both with participating members as well as serving as administrator of the JFC itself.

Our staff has many years working in federal compliance. We value continued education greatly in the ever changing world of campaign finance. We regularly attend FEC conferences and roundtables to stay on top of the latest rule changes and advisory opinions. Our dedication ensures that your organization can expect and receive the highest level of service.

Mr. Kilgore began his political finance career in 1994 with Huckaby Davis & Associates (now Huckaby, Davis, Lisker) preparing matching funds reports for seven of the candidates for the Republican nomination for President in the 1996 election cycle. Mr. Kilgore moved back to Georgia in February 1996 and assumed the financial and compliance duties for US Senator Paul Coverdell as well as two other US Senate campaigns. It was at the end of that election cycle that he was approached by Speaker Gingrich’s campaign about joining the team. In December of 1996 Mr. Kilgore took the position of controller for the Speaker’s re election campaign. Mr. Kilgore oversaw the direct mail operation that raised the bulk of the record setting seven million dollars in the 1998 election cycle. The reporting required by such volume was a challenge but, even under the intense scrutiny of that environment, the campaign was completely unscathed in the reporting arena.

After the close of that election cycle, the opportunity to found Professional Data Services was apparent. Word was spreading in political circles that this vitally important part of a campaign could be easily and safely outsourced. Mr. Kilgore took advantage of this environment and today Professional Data Services is a leading compliance firm in the industry.
